BOSTON – August 18, 2021Lumeon, the leader in care orchestration, today announced that its Pre-surgical Readiness solution and its COVID-19 Remote Home Monitoring solution have each won a Bronze Stevie® Award for Best Healthcare Technology Solution in the 18th Annual International Business Awards®.

“We are excited that Lumeon’s solutions, which serve such an important purpose during the pandemic, designed and deployed rapidly amid the health crisis, have been recognized in the International Business Awards,” said Robbie Hughes, Lumeon CEO. “Healthcare providers in all kinds of care settings have found themselves under immense pressure to transform how their care gets delivered—both due to the pandemic and due to new consumer demand for a streamlined virtual care experience. Our solutions focus on orchestrating and automating care processes so healthcare organizations can ensure positive patient experiences while enabling clinicians and care staff to practice at the top of their licenses.”

Lumeon’s Pre-surgical Readiness solution automates the process of creating a care plan for every patient. It allows low-risk patients to be managed digitally and fast-tracked to surgery, reducing the need for unnecessary in-person visits and tests. The solution, driven by Lumeon’s Care Journey Orchestration Platform, enables providers to improve the quality and capacity of their preoperative care processes, assessing patient risks and triaging patients, coordinating care tasks across the pre-op team, identifying order gaps, and fast tracking low-risk patients. This solution acts as a “virtual care router” that algorithmically identifies candidates for virtual care and reroutes their journeys safely and securely, reducing load on the care team by up to 60% and transforming the patient experience.

Lumeon’s COVID-19 Remote Home Monitoring solution keeps patients safe at home while monitoring their health care needs remotely – a critical capability throughout the pandemic. It first screens patients by sending them a link to a risk assessment survey, which determines their risk level by baselining their comorbidities and symptoms. Low-risk patients are offered guidance, including self-care advice or testing information, while high-risk patients are enrolled onto the COVID-19 Remote Home Monitoring program. Patients enrolled in the program are automatically surveyed twice daily via SMS about their breathing difficulty and are automatically connected to clinicians if responses indicate deterioration.

Hughes continued, “At Lumeon, we aim to help healthcare providers deliver the right care for every patient, every time. Our solutions succeed in doing so while also reducing costs, eliminating waste, and helping overwhelmed care teams recover the joy in their work. We are proud to have our success in achieving this mission recognized by such a well-respected industry awards program.”
