BOSTON – April 30, 2021 – Lumeon, a care journey orchestration leader, today announced that its Pre-surgical Readiness solution and its COVID-19 Remote Home Monitoring solution have each won a Silver Stevie® Award for Best New Product in the Healthcare Technology Solution category of the 19th Annual American Business Awards®.
“At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic last year, healthcare providers everywhere were suddenly forced into crisis mode, coming under unprecedented pressure to transform nearly every aspect of care delivery – from alleviating the burden on overwhelmed care teams, to transitioning in-person appointments to virtual care, and eventually getting patients back into the hospital as safely as possible,” said Robbie Hughes, Lumeon CEO. “To support health systems and their patients during this critical time, Lumeon rapidly developed, launched and deployed a series of virtual care solutions, including our Pre-surgical Readiness solution and our COVID-19 Remote Home Monitoring Solution.”
Lumeon’s Pre-surgical Readiness solution automates and virtualizes a digital care plan for every patient. It enables low-risk patients to be managed digitally and fast-tracked to surgery, avoiding unnecessary in-person visits and tests. Powered by Lumeon’s Care Journey Orchestration Platform, the solution allows providers to increase the quality and capacity of their preoperative care processes, not only coordinating care pathways in real-time, but also triaging patients, generating suitable test lists for review, and autonomously managing low-risk patients safely through their pre-surgery journey.
Lumeon’s COVID-19 Remote Home Monitoring solution keeps patients safe at home while monitoring their health care needs remotely – a critical capability during the pandemic. It first screens patients by sending them a link to a risk assessment survey, which determines their risk level by baselining their comorbidities and symptoms. Low-risk patients are offered guidance including self-care advice or testing information, while high-risk patients are enrolled onto the COVID-19 Remote Home Monitoring program. Patients enrolled in the program are automatically surveyed twice daily via SMS about their breathing difficulty and are automatically connected to clinicians if responses indicate deterioration.
Hughes continued, “Core to our mission at Lumeon is the ability to help healthcare providers deliver the right care for every patient, every time, while eliminating waste, reducing cost and restoring the joy to overburdened care teams. We are proud to be recognized by the American Business Awards for the significance of our work.”
